Terms of Service
Last Updated: September 15, 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing our website (killingdust.com), submitting a quote request, or scheduling services with KillingDust ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not engage our services.
2. Scope of Services
KillingDust provides professional residential and commercial indoor air quality and ventilation maintenance services, including:
- Whole-home negative pressure HEPA air duct cleaning and sanitization.
- Chimney sweeping, creosote removal, and safety flue inspections.
- Dryer vent clearing, booster fan service, and fire hazard prevention.
- HVAC blower motor and register disinfection.
- Emergency mold remediation and EPA-registered antimicrobial duct fogging.
- Architectural brick and masonry restoration and cleaning.
3. Quotes, Pricing & On-Site Assessments
Any preliminary estimates provided over the phone or online are starting base estimates based on standard residential configurations. Because physical building conditions vary:
- On-Site Evaluation: Our certified technicians conduct a physical camera or structural inspection upon arrival to confirm the exact scope of work.
- Prior Approval: If additional work is required—such as extensive mold treatment, multi-story roof access, excessive duct damage, or complex creosote glaze—we provide a clear written quote for your approval before starting any work. No surprise charges will ever be added without your consent.
4. Customer Responsibilities & Property Access
To ensure safe and efficient service, the customer agrees to:
- Provide safe, uninhibited access to all HVAC units, registers, attic or crawlspace entry points, fireplaces, and dryer vent exterior exhaust hoods.
- Secure domestic pets in an enclosed area away from work zones while industrial vacuum equipment is running.
- Ensure an authorized adult (18 years or older) is present during the service to review inspection findings and sign completion documentation.
5. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
We understand that schedules change. We kindly request at least 24 hours advance notice for routine appointment cancellations or rescheduling. In the event of emergency dispatch, please notify our dispatch office immediately if access is delayed.
6. Workmanship Guarantee & Liability Limitations
KillingDust adheres to industry-leading NADCA and NFPA standards. We carry comprehensive commercial general liability insurance and stand behind our workmanship:
- Pre-Existing Conditions: We are not liable for pre-existing structural defects, dry-rotted flex ducting, severely decayed mortar, or corroded electrical wiring identified during initial camera inspections.
- Prompt Notification: If you have any questions or concerns regarding completed work, please notify us within 7 days of service completion so we can promptly inspect and address the issue.
7. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding related to our services shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.
